The world is living in contrast and is ruled by polarity. People will always argue, discuss and exchange their ideas, views or opinions. Sometimes they are even fighting each other to make sure their opinion is the only one!
But what they don’t realise is that every position or opinion is only existing because of the other side. They wouldn’t have their own opinion unless they know the opposite opinion of others!
The different points of view illustrate not only their own clarity, understanding and meaning but also their own sense of being. The differences complement each other like the sun and the moon, male and female or day and night.
When we describe a person, we should bear in mind that we can only do this in relation to our own existence. The other important point is that we can only describe a person’s actions, by seeing the external movement of their body to the outer boundaries known as the skin. We can’t see what’s happening or has already happened, inside a person’s body and mind.
We can’t talk about a person’s walking style unless we start to describe the walking surface. People move in relation to their environment. If the environment is bumpy, they will also walk in a bumpy way!
I am not what I think I am, and I am not what you think I am. I am what I think you think I am. (Charles Horton Cooley)
Therefore, we should not only judge people by their actions, words or opinions. We should always think deeper and see the person from multiple perspectives.
A person is a person through the influence of other people, the environment and their social background.
We do not know who we are, unless we know who they are, and they do not know who they are, unless they know who we are!
In other words, we are not completely separate!
We depend on, and define, each other! We are the sun and the moon to each other! We should support one another because we can not exist on our own! We are interdependent.
We, our environment and our social backgrounds, are not separated. We are one interdependent system on this planet earth. We only know who we are in reference to other people! The boundaries we have built over the years are not real and do not exist.
Countries have their border controls to keep us apart but at the end of the day, it is more the skin border of each and every human being that really creates the illusion of our separation.
This separation only exists through ignorance!
Our skin (boundary) should not separate us from the world. It should connect us like a bridge is connecting two islands, like the sun is shining for all humans and will never shine as a spotlight for only one person!
We are all one universe and the whole universe is in all of us!
I see you today and I will recognise you tomorrow!
