Meditation can help us
So many years of school education but nobody told us how to stay focused or concentrated. It is time to think about it! In school, we were asked to sit still but without any instruction on how to control our mind. Only for checking purposes. In our modern world, we get distracted so many times by Likes, Pings, and calls compared to the times when mobile phones weren’t around. There is a risk to unlearn being focused at all caused by our smart devices.
The industrial school model
People have been educated in an ‘industrial’ school model without developing the quality of being and staying focused. The model of ‘learning by rote’ did not cultivate concentration but we should do so in the future.
TIt is the right time to schedule meditation, visualization, and other attention exercises into the school curriculum. The human mind is our greatest asset and our biggest enemy at the same time. The mind is so powerful! If we can decide to give it real power we can experience hope, positivity, and strength rather than doubts and worries. We will likely continue climbing the ladder to real happiness.
The sound of silence
Would it not be a blessing for young people to learn how to control their feelings, reactions, and interactions?
It is time to perceive the sound of silence.
Meditation can help us embrace our worries, our fear, our anger; and that is very healing. We let our own natural capacity for healing do the work.
