Appreciating “inner values” like kindness and generosity in life doesn’t mean we should neglect our appearance.
Maybe you heard of “mindfulness” already, but we often think we are too busy to spend time with those spiritual things. But if I tell you that being mindful doesn’t require extra time investment and will have tremendous benefits for you, it might change your point of view in an instant.
There are people who eat healthily, train regularly for years, seem to be rested and are obviously in good shape. Often we envy these people. Their lifestyle seems to be so effortless. We struggle already when trying to get out of bed in the morning or drinking enough water.
While our habits sometimes perpetuate unwanted behavior (e.g. procrastination); they can on the other hand support a healthy and successful lifestyle without the need to push our will power to the limit.
Our daily lives are interfused with individual habits. These habits influence the levels of success which we achieve in the long run, while at work, playing sports, or following a weight-loss plan. It sounds somehow over exaggerated but take a closer look at the topic the connection becomes obvious.
Training in the morning is perfect because it increases our cortisol level at a time where it is naturally high anyway.
Getting up early, synchronised with the natural sunlight and time of the day, helps us to live according to our inner clock.
City lights, cars on the streets or our neighbour’s yard light might keep our sleeping room lighter than it is good for our sleep quality.
